• Earth Friendly Homes Our sister company, Earth Friendly Homes, LLC. specializes in the design and construction of homes that are attractive, healthy for the occupants, energy-efficient, make use of solar energy and natural lighting, and incorporate green building materials and construction techniques. Earth Friendly Homes are built using the Reward® Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF)for both the foundation walls and the walls above grade. This creates an adjusted R-Value of R-33, while providing a much stronger and tighter structure than is possible with wood or steel framed construction. Earth Friendly Homes are designed around pre-determined specifications to cut down on design time yet still allowing for full customization. Robert Chew is the Regional Sales Manager for Earth-Friendly Homes and will work closely with you through the design and construction phase. His experience as an award winning Regional Sales Manager for Acorn Homes and as president of SolarWrights® will ensure that the design is the right design for your site to take advantage of solar energy. We strive to make our Earth Friendly Homes as healthy as possible for the occupants. For example, we don't use dangerous fiberglass insulation. Since our walls are already insulated with the ICF's, we only have to insulate the ceilings. For this we use either cellulose or recycled cotton insulation. We use radiant heating for comfort and health and avoid unsightly baseboard radiators. We can easily add solar collectors to not only provide solar domestic hot water but to provide a heat source for the radiant floor.
